Captain’s Choice Golf Tournaments v2
Just starting out or playing for a while? Meet fellow golfers and improve your game in our relaxed and friendly golf tournaments. Beginners will feel very welcome as our mixed ability teams of 3 or 4 accommodate all levels of players in our Captain’s Choice Scramble format.
We have small prizes for the best team score, closest shot to the flag on the green and longest drive or closest to the line in the fairway and often meet for awards lunch following the game. Our philosophy: friendship, fun and fresh air with a little friendly competition thrown in!
We’d love to have you on the IWC Captain’s Choice Golf Tournament invitation list in order to send you details of dates and courses. Email Cheryl!

Tournament Cancellation by the Committee
Because the weather changes so rapidly in Bermuda the committee consults at 7:15 am on the day of the tournament. If we must cancel we send the participants a Paperless Post update by 7:30 am. If you have registered a guest please keep her informed.
If you wish to change your invitation responses before the deadline
From the invitation click “View Card” then click “You are attending” to change to “You are not attending” and vice versa to see the options. There is also a section where you can type a message to the Golf Director, if you wish.
You may cancel after the deadline but please keep in mind
You will be responsible for paying the tournament fee. Cancellations after the deadline cause extra work on our part and for the golf course staff. Please give us as much notice as possible. If you must cancel on the morning of a tournament please call the pro shop or Cheryl at 331-6000 as email and texts will not be monitored. Don’t ask a friend to tell the committee as this can cause confusion.
Three late cancellations will result in the person being added to a standby list rather than being added to a team. Unpaid tournament fees will result in removal from invitations.
Lunch
If we have arranged a lunch it may go on regardless of whether a tournament has been cancelled. If you cancel after the deadline you may be charged for lunch.
