Malissa Jett oversees completion of club’s bylaws updates

Malissa Jett served as President during the 2016/2017 IWC year. We were finally able to complete the revisions to our By Laws at the end of Malissa’s term. The proposed By Laws were distributed to members over the summer and then unanimously accepted at the President’s Coffee in September under the guidance of Carol Thomsen. Some new activities were started that year, a second Evening Book Club, the Happy Hookers Craft and Crochet group, and the Cook Club. The annual art exhibition was a huge success. In 2017, we received 35 grant requests and we were able to grant $18,500 to the following charities: Age Concern, BSMART, Meals on Wheels, PALS Cancer Care, and The Reading Clinic. Our very popular end of the year party was held at Masterworks. The membership of the IWC grew to over 250 members.
